My Natural Deodorant Reviews For 2015

apply deodorantUsing deodorant to control body odour is something that many people include in their daily routine. There are many brands of deodorants that people can choose.

The cheap ones are normally full of harmful chemicals. This is the reason why they are cheap!

But I would like to encourage people to switch to natural alternatives to control body odour to minimize your exposure to harmful chemical ingredients that are present in the personal care products.

Have a read of this article about ‘Toxic chemicals in personal care products’ HERE!

In a previous post, I compared the difference between deodorants and antiperspirants and recommended people to switch to a natural deodorants to avoid toxic chemical exposure. I also emphasized that using antiperspirants will disrupt our normal sweating process because of the presence of aluminium salts and ions that closes the pores on the skin.

So it’s best to choose a natural and aluminium free deodorant that do not contain harmful chemical ingredients and still works by killing the bacteria on our armpits which then controls our body odour.

If you haven’t read my article on ‘Deodorant VS Antiperspirants – Which Is Better?’, you can read it HERE!

Now I will review some brands that people can consider if looking for natural deodorants that work.

Natural deodorants work well so it’s a good investment to make that switch to a natural product rather than applying chemical-laden products under your arms on a daily basis.

Thank you for the reviews! I tend to lean towards the aroma free options because that is just me. Your video is for informative too!

I’m quite familiar with natural deodorants and have used a few different kinds. Nice thorough review on three very solid brands. Personally these days I make my own which I will be posting the recipe for on my site soon. It’s good you’re raising awareness on this topic, the chemicals in conventional deodorants can cause some serous health conditions. Contrary to what many think natural deodorants can be just as effective :)

    • Teresa says:

Jess, that’s great that you are making your own deodorants. It’s always handy to have the recipe available to make a fresh batch of deodorant when ever you need it. Actually, any natural products can be made at home if people have the recipe and ingredients available. It just requires a bit of time to make them that’s all.

Hi! Thanks for this article. I had never thought of deodorants in this way, but you have a really good point, in that using natural products in this area is key as you are pasting it on open pores day after day. I had never thought of that. Do these deodorants actually stop sweating or do they mask it?

    Hi there.

This article is really interesting! I never thought that natural deodorant exists in the market. Plus, I have never heard of any of those brands before till now. Thanks for highlighting those brands to me! I am currently using a roll on deodorant, I prefer the roll on kinds as compared to spray, as roll ons leave a cooling sensation on the skin which feels really good! I too tend to lean towards aroma free deodorant.

    Thanks for the detailed review!

Being an advocate of green and sustainable ideas, i love to hear that there are natural deodorants out there. Anything natural is very appealing to me because I am pretty sure that they have minimal effect to the environment.

Artificial deodorants with aerosols are harmful to our ozone layer so natural deodorants are the best choice for a greener earth.

  8. Warren says:

Across Western Canada you can find an excellent deoderant made by Sugar and Spice bath and body care ,,works awesome
